~My Collection~

For those that do not know me that well here is something new to learn about me. I collect Elephants. I swear I have a million of them and my collection continues to grow. I can’t pass them up when I go shopping unless I already have it. ~lol~ One of the most prized possession in the collection is an ivory tusk carved with three elephants holding on to each other by their tails. When I acquired this piece it was very hard for me to expect it. One it was real ivory and I am not into killing elephants for the tusk, and two it was a baby tusk. Yes I know how sad. And that’s what I said when I was got it. "Ohh I can’t take this, it’s too much!". But I did take it because he was insisted that I did so. Just the other day my mother brought me these 4 elephants together. They are so cute, it’s the Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil, and best for last Do No Evil. I have never seen anything like it.

I like to think the reason I love elephants so much is that they are such huge creatures, yet so gentle. I have rode about 10 elephants in my life spam. (Which isn’t that big). I go every year to the circus just to ride one. ~lmao~ I mean here is me a 24 year old with 4 other passengers that are around 5-10 years old. Who says your too old to do anything right!

At work I have about 30 elephants all around my area. My boss doesn’t let me take any home, he says he enjoys them as well as our clients. Just last week a client brought me an antique one that is so old. It’s a salt, pepper, vinegar, & oil holder. I had never seen something like that. I hesitated to take it but couldn’t resist. He knows it’s in safe hands and I told him if he ever wanted it back to let me know for I know it’s worth some money.

So there you go, something new about me.

Elephants, huh?

That brings back memories. My mom used to collect elephants when I was growing up. Like you, she used to pick up every one that she didn't have. Some of them were quite expensive. She also had one made of actual ivory and the other one that stands out had a Chinese motif to it and it was jade colored.

Me, I collected dogs of all kinds. Porceline, wood.....didn't matter. I don't have them anymore, and I sort of wonder what my mom did with them. After the dog thing ran it's course....I got stuck on collecting c.d.'s. I must have had a 1000 of them by the time that I met Michelle. After that, it was comic books. We still have those in 5 massive tupperware bins. I think we have about 2,000 of them including all of the Spawn stuff.

Aren't hobbie's great? Expensive....but great! Have a good night, Aasta

Brandon and I were at this little tiny art/street fair and I saw two small jade elephant salt and pepper shakers and told Brandon that we needed to get them for you. Unfortunately, we couldn't but we thought about you!!

I collected unicorns and anything with horses. I know, how original but man I had quite the collection. I still have some of them but I keep them put away. And then I got Brandon addicted to comic books. I had the entire collection of Spawn but my ex took it. Brandon was kind enought to not only help me replace all the ones I had collected but we found some rare ones and then some too. After it became a little too expensive, we stopped. Now I collect fairies!

Alright...I stop rambling. ~fluttery kisses and soft squeezes~
