Well mother just returned. Bad new folks, she has a brian tumor. She was told that it is a benign brian tumor. A pat on the back and out the door she went she said. I've never dealt with anything like this. If anyone has advise please speak freely here. I will keep you updated as much as I get.

It might just be me, but I would get a second opinion if you can on your mom's brain tumor. With that kind of thing, it is never a bad idea to have too many opinions. What do they plan on doing about the tumor? Are they going to leave it and have the mentality of "wait and see"?
I will be more than happy to discuss your concerns with you any time you want. You have my e-mail address and such, so you can write or call collect. My mom had cancer in her lungs that spread into tumors in her brain as did her mom (my grandmother) who's cancer went from breast to lungs to brain, so I have seen the effects first hand for many years. It is not a pretty thing to watch someone you love go through.
But, there is a light in what your mom is dealing with.....she has been told it's benign which is a large ray of hope. But, I would say to get a second opinion, so you know for sure and can figure out what they want to do about it.
